Harrison Swim & Dive Booster Club Parents - 

We are excited to announce that the Board Nomination process is now open for the 2024 / 2025 Swim Season. The Harrison High School Swim & Dive Booster Club is actively seeking dedicated Hoya Swim parents who are ready to volunteer and become a vital part of our board.

We are looking for individuals who like going above and beyond and are eager to put their unique talents to good use for our program. We take pride in serving our team and supporting our swimmers and coaches.

Please fill out and submit the Board Nomination Form (https://forms.gle/JY2jAqzruN3mVmoc8) by Wednesday, February 7th. We will reach-out with any questions / concerns and discuss. Nominees will be presented to the membership for a vote during the Annual Banquet on February 15th at 6:30 pm at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church.

OFFICERS -

1. Co-President - Assist the President in presiding over the Booster Club, being the liaison between the Schools Athletic Director and the Club, make sure by-laws are up to date, work on finalizing our non-profit status, work with the treasurer on the season budget, etc.

2. Co-Vice President (in charge of committees & volunteers) - Schedule volunteer positions/shifts for all meets and events in Swimtopia (work with Social Chairperson regarding volunteer/food donations for non-swim meet events) monitor families volunteer requirements through reports in Swimtopia, and check in volunteers at meets and events.

3. Secretary - Responsible for scheduling monthly board meetings, submit all facility use requests to Cobb Co Schools (board meetings, season info meeting, Christmas party etc…) take meeting minutes and assist Ginny with Swimtopia (Ginny has learned Swimtopia and feels she can handle the website & registration since she already does the communications but will need someone as backup.)

COMMITTEES -

1. Sponsorship - Responsible for contacting and soliciting local businesses to sponsor the team through monetary and gift donations. Will need to provide sponsorship information and logo to be included on Swimtopia site as well as Spiritwear Committee to be included on the back of the County t-shirts. Also, in charge of presenting the “Athlete of the Meet” t-shirts after every meet.

2. Co-Spiritwear - Responsible for working with the vendor to design and create the season’s spirit-wear store; including order forms, order processing, and order distributing. Also responsible for the County t-shirts, State t-shirts, State Jackets, Senior gifts, Underclassmen gifts and Coaches gear. A Spiritwear store CAN be added to Swimtopia and was considered last year but was rejected because of the mandatory order processing fee. This would take some significant time to set up and manage (collected funds would go to our Stripe account and then the CLUB would be responsible for paying vendor…) but it is possible if someone wants to take this on.

3. Senior / Alumni Committee Chair - We are looking for a senior parent who would be willing to coordinate senior activities for the Class of 2025. This could include Senior Recognition, Senior Spotlight, etc.

4.) Dive Liaison - We are in need of a Dive Parnet to ensure that the Divers are represented in all aspects of the program.
